Did you know that many experts consider stress response to be the leading contribution to pain symptoms? If you have had chronic headaches (migraines, or muscle tension), neck pain or TMJ pain, you most likely agree. Most of us tend to believe that negative stress is the problem. The surprising thing is that your body may not be able to differentiate between positive and negative stress! It uses the same processes to deal with both types of stressors.
Recent research has provided a lot of information about stress and the toll it takes on our bodies. You may have heard about conditions like Adrenal Fatigue, increased Cortisol levels contributing to obesity, and many other stress-related hormonal issues. As it turns out, stress response begins long before these conditions appear at the cellular level in our bodies.
I have been studying a program, The Root Cause Protocol, which addresses stress response issues from a cellular metabolic perspective. It is a simple way to support complex cellular processes, and is based on over 100 years of published research! I am completing my Root Cause Protocol Practioner Certification and would be happy to share more information.
